| I will do more detailed write up later. For now, my feet ache and I am covered in mud.
The Ren Fest was great -- except for the aforementioned mud (and the rain, which soaked me through and even after it stopped kept me cold the whole day). I took the pictures before I went, and a few after, which you will see.
Me in the dress without any accessories:

From the side:

From the back:

Left sleeve:

Right sleeve:

See the pinking? That's where the blue peeks through the gold satin. Nice, yes? On the right sleeve it's coming a little... loose though. I might have to make a new sleeve. I still have lots of satin so that's okay, but.... MEF.
The first accessory! My brooch:

The full dress plus accessories (and French hood, see see?):

Accessories on my belt, fan and rosary and girdle and goblet and pouch (very fuzzy):

The French hood:

The back, with the pearls, although the veil is falling strangely in this picture:

The Pouch of Doom, with crosses :

The poison ring, which I've been promising pictures of for ages:

Another picture:

After the Faire, my new hat and my bodice rose Made of leather and it actually smells like a real rose. Heh. :P

And from the side, so you can see the pretty feathers and the lovely hatpin:

Me and Sil:

And again:

So... there you go! Descriptions and mumblings and rantings later, when my legs stop feeling like they're going to fall off and my heart attack stops.

| So is pouch. I finished it up (didn't take long) and then sort of wandered around uselessly for a while. Then, my sister and I did all my jewelry. It's all perfect and lovely now. I have a pearl girdle and two pearl necklaces, one of which is long enough to wrap around my neck twice. I have teardrop pearl earrings and a brooch. I think that's all, but don't quote me on that. Then, I threw together a petticoat to wear under my gown, so I don't have to wear shorts.
So yeah, it's all done now. When I put it on on Saturday I'll get my mom to take pictures of each part as I put it on, and some detail pictures of, well, the ridiculous amount of detail I put into it. I'll hopefully get those up Sunday afternoon sometime.
Until then!

| Completely. So is the French hood. So is the pouch (almost). Yesterday and today so far, I:
1. Finished putting trim on the velvet parts of the sleeves 2. Sewed the velvet part of the sleeves to the satin part (neeeeerve-wracking) 3. Lined the sleeves 4. Attached the sleeves to the bodice (even more neeeerve-wracking.... *kills self* I didn't break any needles though!) 5. Tried it on.... :D 6. Cut out four pieces of buckram for the hood 7. Attached two lengths of millinery wire to the buckram to make the hood base 8. Covered the hood base with velvet 9. Hemmed the veil (lightweight black stuff) and secured it to the hood with freshwater pearls 10. Created a billiment (decoration for the hood) and attached it 11. Attached a chin strap for the hood (it actually stays on very well without it, but the wire isn't quite heavy enough to keep the shape correctly without a little help) 12. Began the money pouch: cut out the pieces, started sewing them together, did a cutaway of the velvet in the shape of an eye tilted on its end and put gold satin underneath 13. Beaded the pouch: pearls and gold beads around the cutaway, little crosses on either side of the cutaway 14. Finished sewing the pouch together
Now, I just need to attach the pearl that will keep the pouch closed; attach the strap that will keep the pouch on my belt; fiddle with my jewelry; and cut a few lengths of cord for carrying things on my belt and melt the ends so they don't fray.
Then I will be done. Once again, pictures as soon as I get a camera that works!

With a break of 4.5 hours. Leaving me working for 12.5 hours without breaks.
Ugh.
My back and fingers and eyes are so sore.
I:
1. Mocked up the sleeves. They fit fine, and I can bend my elbow all the way (yay!!!!) 2. Designed the pattern for pinking. 3. Cut out the satin for the undersleeve, linen for the lining, and velvet for the puff. 4. Trimmed the satin; eight strips of trim. Took hours. 5. Beaded the satin; beads tightly dispersed on four of the strips of trim, beads in clusters on the other four. 6. Pinked the satin. 7. Added pearls to the satin where the pinked design required it. 8. Began trimming and beading the velvet. Have finished 5 out of 14 strips of trim.
*dies*
I see another 12 hour day in my near future. *roll*
But then, I will be done, and I will move onto accessories... so... w00t!

| Save for the sleeves, which I will start working on tomorrow.
It's gorgeous and it fits like a dream. It's blue velvet, with a stripe of gold trim crusted with pearls flanked by two stripes of green trim crusted with gold beads down the front. There are freshwater pearls along the top neck edge. It has spiral lacing up the back and hand-sewn buttonholes (shout out to my mom for helping me do those when I felt like I was never going to finish... there are 13 on each side and I was just reeeeally frustrated). It fits like a dream and shows off a little bit of the blackwork on my chemise when I wear it. Unfortunately I don't have a camera here, so no pictures as of yet, but I'll get some when I get home (or after the Renaissance Festival on Saturday -- I might or might not get pictures of the whole thing then too).
It's really lovely and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Starting the sleeves tomorrow; will have to do a mockup and then will have to 1. put trim on the satin and velvet 2. pink the satin 3. sew the velvet to the satin to the lining 4. stuff the velvet 5. sew it all together and 6. attach it to the armhole. Am NOT excited. However I think it will look gorgeous and I guess I should be happy.
